How did the company start? What is the background of the founders?
Paul Kawoczka and Dan Nichols started Enliven Planters in 2014. The two met while studying landscape architecture at Penn State. Prior to founding Enliven, they worked both in residential and urban landscape design.
What are your criteria for choosing a franchisee?
The absolute most important criteria is your personality. We want to make sure that you are going to be a good fit for Enliven's culture and brand.
How much will I have to invest before I open my doors?
Our initial investment ranges from $75,000-$150,000, which includes a one-time $35,000 franchise fee.
What are the ongoing royalties and brand development fees?
Our royalty is 6% of gross sales up to $500,000; 5% of gross sales at or above $500,000 annually. Additionally, there is a brand development fund contribution of 1% of gross sales.
How much money can I make?
Revenues may vary significantly based on a number of factors. We are happy to provide a detailed Item 19 for further information.
How big are territories?
We grant large, protected territories; size varies based on a number of demographic factors.
What support do you offer beyond initial training?
Enliven is firmly dedicated to ongoing training and support. Our designers and buyers are constantly refining our plant palette and our designs. You will receive new recipe sheets before the start of each and every season, as well as accompanying webinars to get you up to speed on all new plant material. Additionally, we will provide ongoing, remote training as we continue to update and improve our customized software suite.
